If you are looking for a Japanese native speaker who can answer your questions in fluent English, then you just found one now! I have taught Japanese to university students as a private tutor in Australia, where I studied philosophy at university for 6+ years. Hard work is the key to learning a language and I can't work hard to learn Japanese for you; yet, I can teach you how to learn a language efficiently from my own experiences of learning English on my own. So, while I would happily go through a textbook with you, I would aim at getting you ready for learning Japanese without any major assistance, including the one from me.

I'm quite flexible with my schedule (available between 9am - 7pm), since I work mostly from home as a freelance translator/writer. For example, if you are an English teacher busy during the afternoon - evening yet relatively free in the morning, I can arrange a morning lesson for you.

The fee is 2000yen per hour. We'll meet up in a cafe or a place like McDonald's. I'm based in Omiya, Saitama. I'll travel to anywhere between Omiya and say, Shibuya. However, if we need to meet in Tokyo, I will need some extra fee (i.e. +500 yen) for transportation.

Short and sweat, I teach music lessons as well as teach English at 2 schools in Tokyo. Looking to raise it up a knotch or two.
I am looking for a teacher (preferred female) for 1 hour lesson twice a week (days flexible to suit both, but can be fixed if you prefer) at a coffee shop near my office in the afternoons.(ebisu/shibuya are closest stations)
I will buy the coffee and pay you 2000 jpy/hour. Happy to sign up for a month at a time and pay in advance if you want that, but I need a free trial lesson to check that we can work together. (i'll still buy the coffee)
