Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am an English teacher from America. I have over four years of English teaching experience, with both children and adults.
I can teach any level, and have a lot of patience for both beginners and intermediate students, but I have the energy to keep up with more advanced students
too!
I'm happy to teach you in a group, or in a private one on one lesson. I can teach you from my home, in your home, or even in a coffee shop or community
center.
I live in Tokyo, and can travel to most major stations, although my current station is Machiya station, on the Chiyoda line. I can also walk to Tabata station on
the Yamanote line.
I am a very qualified teacher, and I care about my students and my work. I'm not just on vacation in Tokyo, teaching for money. I have a bachelors degree
in English, and have done Masters level coursework for English Education. I also hold a TEFL certification. I've helped thousands of students in my career
as an English teacher, and am able to help any level of student with any goal they have. I've done test preparation to vacation preparation. I've taught and
continue to teach busienss English, and can help with conversation. Most of my students say, "Kevin, I need help with my speaking and listening." No problem,
I can help you there too! Sometimes, I have groups of children who want lessons, we play games and sing songs. Anything is okay with me! I love my job!
My rates are simple. I charge 500 yen for the first lesson. During this lesson, you get to know me, and can ask me any questions you like. I'll give you the
answers to a few of the questions now! I'm not married, I am 32 years old, my blood type is O and I'm an Aquarius. I have a typical, clear, American accent,
as I grew up in a small town near the University of Illinois, and then moved to the Philadelphia area when I was 10. I've travelled all over the world, especially
Asia, and I truly am enjoying my time here in Japan. How long do I want to stay in Japan?? For a LONG TIME! Haha.. I am interested in starting my own English
school while I am here, so for at least five years or so.
During the first lesson, I get to know you too. I'll ask you your goals, why you're learning English, how long and to what degree you've studied before, and then
we come up with a plan for the next lessons, the level, what materials we'll use, our focus, where we'll meet and when.
After the first lesson, my rates are 3,000 an hour for one on one, or 5,000 an hour for a group lesson (up to 5 people).
If you have questions or concerns, or just want some more information, please feel free to give me a call at 090-6317-4600 or send me an email at limberpineassociates@hotmail.com.
Good luck in finding a great teacher! Let's work together this winter, sit down with some coffee or hot chocolate and improve our skills!
Have a great day!
